This wooden box decorated with a hand-painted American flag was once used to transport mail to gold miners in Colorado by entrepreneur S. I. Field. Field later founded the city of Green River. The box is part of the exhibit on the Pony Express and the Overland Stage coach company’s operations in Sweetwater County.
