The Sweetwater County Historical Museum is governed by a five-member Board of Directors appointed by the Sweetwater County Board of Commissioners. Each member serves a three-year term, with the option to renew one additional term.

The Board of Directors meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.
PUBLIC NOTICE: The Sweetwater County Historical Museum Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Monday, April 4, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. to discuss and act upon the 2027 Fiscal Budget. The meeting will be held in-person at the Museum and via Zoom and is open to the public. For more information, please contact the Museum at 307-872-6435.
