History Day Camp

Hosted by Girl Scout Silver Team Troop 1246 at the Sweetwater County Historical Museum, this STEAM focused historical day camp will focus on John Wesley Powell's expedition and the town that came after him. This camp is FREE for youth in Sweetwater County and registration is required by Tuesday June 23rd. 

Two days will be offered to accommodate different age groups: Tuesday June 30th, 9:00am - 3:00pm will be for students grades 3rd through 5th. Thursday July 2nd, 10:00am - 2:00pm will be for students grades K through 2nd. Students must have just completed the grade you are signing them up for, not entering. 

 
Schedule: Parents or guardians will drop off students beginning at 9:00am/10:00am respectively. Students will be with Girl Scout leaders, troop leaders, and a museum staff member all day. Children must be picked up no later than 3:00pm/2:00pm respectively. 
 
We will provide snack breaks and snacks. There will be a lunch break but you must pack a sack lunch for your child. We also encourage you to pack water bottles, jackets, and sunscreen to be prepared for all weather.
